A new Bird Club is being started in Chicago.
The Finch and Softbill Breeders and Exhibitors Club (FSBEC)
Dedicated to encouraging the breeding of better finches and softbills in captivity;
to supporting conservation of finch/softbill
species in aviculture;
and to promoting exhibition by hosting
an NFSS-sanctioned local show, encouraging newcomers to show, and supporting other shows
in the surrounding area.
Meetings
The FSBEC meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm and are currently being held in Palatine, IL. Meetings are for members only. If you are interested in becoming a member and would like to visit us for a meeting, please contact the membership director at MembershipFSBEC@finchfiles.com.
Membership
Yearly membership dues are as follows:
Single Membership - $20
Family Membership - $30
Junior Membership - $5
Please complete the membership application and mail it to the Membership Director with your payment (checks only). If you would prefer to pay via Paypal, email the Membership Director and you will be sent a Paypal invoice.
Annual Show
We are planning an annual NFSS-sanctioned show in the Chicago area. This year, we anticipate that show will be sometime in September, location to be announced.
