PURCHASING
We breed birds year round so birds available change quite frequently, so be sure to check back regulary if you don't see something you are looking for.
Deposits - We do accept deposit for birds once that have started to color up and we anticipate them to be ready within 1-2 months. Deposits are 50% of the purchase price of the birds. Please note that all deposits are
non-refundable.
Payment options - We accept payment via check, money order, Paypal, Visa or Mastercard.
SHIPPING
We prefer that whenever possible, customers pick up there birds directly from TAS Aviary. This greatly reduces the stress on the birds that occurs when they are shipped. But we do realize that you may not be able to locate birds in your area, so we do offer shipping as an option. We ship via Delta Airlines at the buyers expense. We only sell and ship healthy birds!
Shipping Details:
- The cost to ship birds via Delta airlines is approximately $85-$100 depending on your location, plus the cost of the container ($15 for 2-8 birds).
- The birds are shipped to the closest major airport to you, the buyer.
- We only ship twice per month - weather permitting. We will let you know what the next ship date will be when you reserve birds.
- A 2 bird and $250 minimum order is required for birds that are to be shipped. Birds must be paid for in full 48 hours prior to being shipping - if paying by personal check, the check must clear your bank account prior to shipping.
- We only ship birds that have fully completed their juvenile molt.
- Shipping is seasonal - approximately April - October. Please be aware the the temperature has to be between 65-85 degrees on both the shipping and receiving end.
- We start to prepare all birds 2 days prior to the ship date. The birds are shipped with seed, millet, water and cucumber. We do secure a perch in the shipping box as well for them. Do to our careful shipping practices, we have never lost a bird during shipping.
SHIPPING & GUARANTEES
Flights may be delayed for reasons beyond the control of TAS Aviary. In the event a bird(s) dies during transit while in Delta Airlines' possession, you MUST file a claim for the loss with Delta Airlines BEFORE you leave the airport premises. Delta will not accept claims once you have left the airport. Be sure to include cost of the bird(s) and shipping in the claim. File the claim with Delta Airlines and then contact TAS Aviary.
TAS Aviary does not offer a live bird guaranty on any bird(s) sold once the bird leaves the premises of TAS Aviary. TAS Aviary will provide customers with proper care instructions for the bird(s). Once the customer has custody of the bird, TAS Aviary can no longer be assured the bird(s) is receiving proper care.
